Wondering if Parker is a likely culprit to bring in bed bugs to the house?(Other than him being a giant bed bug himself) Anyone know about this stuff?

UPDATE: Bug guy came for a second time today...we have been sleeping on the sofa bed for over a week because I knew he had to come back which to me meant they weren't all dead! I was working when he came today so my landlord/cousin came to meet the guy instead and according to her, he said he didn't see any signs of anymore bugs, and sprayed a LITTLE more...I asked for them to spray near my wooden desk since they like wood and it isn't far from the bedroom (I don't think he did spray by the desk which makes me kind of mad!) and then my cousin says that the guy said we might see a couple stragglers as they die and come out of hiding...

I come home thinking we were going to sleep in the real bed tonight, so I washed the new sheets and got everything on the bed and as I am doing this, I see 2 bugs crawling up the wall! I kill them and look around and find 3 more! SHOOT ME! I changed my mind about the bed...still out on the sofa bed...I read that bedbugs cause mental problems and insomnia...I can UNDERSTAND why...I feel like I have those mental problems myself now because of them! I want to move!

As you can see...Parker has no issues with the sofa bed...my back on the other hand feels otherwise!

There have been several stories where houses were burned down using heat eradication.  Oh my.   I hope it does not come down to that.  The homes must be heated to 130 degrees.  The problem is, that the heat is higher at the ceiling causing the fires.

My husband used to work in the hotel industry.  Entire hotels would throw out all the linen, carpeting, drapes, everything and start all over again.   Most of those hotels where on the East Coast.

I did not realize they lived in wood, but did know about the walls, light fixtures, etc.

Wishing you lots and luck and comfort with all of this

We wouldn't even be able to do the heat thing because we live in an apartment/condo building that has sprinklers in apartments and the heat would set those off and cause a flood!. Idiots upstairs put a heater thing near one of the sprinklers when they were trying to remove wallpaper and they flooded the whole building...and completely destroyed one whole apartment!

Oh my.  Can't your landlord be held accountable in any of this?   Being a former landlord myself ( thank goodness I am not any longer), I think the landlord would have to be responsible for a lot of this expense.  Seems to me, if you can prove it is from another tenant, you have a good case.

Did you happen to pick up anything at a yard sale?  I can't help but think this is from another tenant.

Well as soon as the bug guy heard DF worked in the city and caught the train, he said "Oh yah...this is an isolated case...I'm sure it hitched a ride on his bad or clothing from somewhere in the city." So basically we have no case as far as saying it came from someone else here...I don't buy things from yard sales or thrift stores ( it freaks me out to have something that's been used...I guess maybe for reasons like this!). Unfortunately, landlord is cousin and they WERE gonna pay the full bill and then the bug guy told them that it was an "isolated case" and now we have to pay half because it's going to be "expensive" even though we have no idea what the bill even is yet...and they know we have a full wedding to pay for, that I don't have a full time job yet and we are living in a studio apartment craphole for a reason and that reason is not that we are rich! Not to mention we already had to spend money for the new bed, box spring, expensive mattress and pillow covers, etc. U-G-H!

I'm very sorry.  This is a horrible situation.

Not having to deal with bedbugs but I did have a horrible infestation of spiders who were biting me and making me pretty sick. I had several heart tests back in my 20s.  It was spiders who became obsessed with Estee Lauder perfume.  Egh.

I slept in moth balls for months and had to wash everything.  This too shall pass.  Be safe and healthy.

Spiders became obsessed with Estee Lauder perfume??? I would be horrified by spiders...hate anything creepy crawly! Would much prefer a lady bug or butterfly infestation!

Scratch Lady bug, they are awful and they bite. I am not sure what season but I believe it was a Spring,  it was but once we had hundreds on our windows and screens and yes they got in somehow, not all but lots - gross!

lol okay so maybe NO bug infestations...Did you get infested with those orange japanese ladybugs??? They aren't as cute as the nice regular red ones lol.
