You bought your labradoodle or goldendoodle puppy, and then the problems began ? Whatever the issue is, if your breeder is not helping you, if you are not happy, if the breeder is ignoring you, whether it be a small issue or a large issue, if you are not geting satisfaction..........CONTACT THE DOODLE CLUB THAT THE BREEDER BELONGS TO, lodge a complaint, explain the situation. The club will contact the breeder and they will have to address your issues. ALAA, or ALCA either club.
Thanks, Ann. I think those few who are frustrated now have a resource for solving the problem. Sometimes the new owner needs a reality check and sometimes the breeder needs a nudge to behave with more understanding and professionalism.
Is this where you would go if you just found out your puppy's mother will be having her third litter in thirteen months? Our puppy's health has been poor and now we are thinking it's due to a mom who can't produce healthy puppies in back to back to back heats. We felt we really checked out this breeder... boy, were we wrong. Thank God we love this puppy and will do anything to make her comfortable.
This doesn't sound like a very reputable breeder, I would be surprised if she belongs to a Doodle club. Sounds more like a BYB to me. So sorry your puppy's health has suffered but very glad that you have her now and love her so much.
I am not up on breeding at all - just a dk member, but from what I have read there are different theories on breeding bitches. I have read that some do breed back to back with a short 'career' and some breed less frequently over a longer time. I think it is total number of litters, age and health of the dog.
