How do you keep them on?! We got yeti a pair of medium muttluks and he looks so so so cute in them. Our problem is, he can't keep them on. We set out on a walk a couple of days ago and only got 2 houses down before one fell off. He doesn't try to take them off, they just fall off haha. We tried tightening them as much as possible with still no luck! Is there a trick I'm missing?!

Sounds like they're too big. Muttluks run really big, JD wears a Medium, and he's a pretty big guy. I tried them on in the store and was really surprised that he only needed a Medium. They need to be snug.

Here's the Muttluks sizing guide: https://muttluks.com/pages/dog-boots-size-chart

I bought my Haley's Muttlucks on line and used the sizing chart Karen linked. He wears a large and is not as big as JD. I guess like humans dogs feet don't necessarily reflect their body size. My Haley can run in snow and his Muttlucks stay on.

Very true, Anne, their feet don't always coordinate with their overall body size.

We tried them on in the store and could NOT get the smalls on. I think he had too much fluff going on and cried almost the whole time I tried to put them on him :(.
I have the Ruffwear boots for both my boys. My ex could never get them to stay on and would get so frustrated. I always get them to stay on, but I crank the straps tight!!!

You really need to try them on in person before buying to get the correct size.  I now buy online once I got the size right.  I've never tired Muttluks but hear that they stay on well.  I have very good luck with UltraPaws.  They have a foam pad sewn into the ankle which helps them from sliding off.

You can always duct tape them on,  that's what the mushers do!

Zack wears Ruffware when he works as a therapy dog. Some will take a smaller rear than front boot. We have found that wearing Ruffware socks also help

This is a good point! JD's rear paws are smaller than his front paws, and when he does lose a boot, it's always a rear boot. Unfortunately, Muttluks are sold in sets of 4, so there's no option to buy a different size for the front and rear paws. Too bad they don't sell them in pairs.

I agree! It's always yetis back paw too!! We may just wash our hands with it all together.

can you put a child sock on the back paws before the boots?

We do have child socks! I will try this thank you so much!!
