Attention Everyone Who is a Member of a DK group!

Just a friendly suggestion to all members of groups on DK.

I've been seeing a lot of messages sent via the "send message to group" function in groups. It's totally okay to send messages to the group but please know that there is NO WAY to reply to mass group messages. They end up in the inbox of members' real life email, but these messages can not be responded to. So if people WANT to respond they have to figure out where your DK profile page is so they can give you a personal response. That's sometimes cumbersome and will decrease the chances for you to get a response.

IF you have a question for group members your BEST BET is to start a discussion in that group. Then you can always send a message with a link to your discussion so members can click on a link where they can respond.

Or if you're just making an announcement, at least put in a link to your profile page in case members have a question about your announcement.

You know how I send out the weekly DK updates to all members? Well it's the same kind of email. You can NOT respond do it, but I always give a link to where you can learn more/respond.

Hi Adina, this is something great that you have created, my sister has a doodle & we all love dogs in our family, I just don't have at this time in my life to be on the site etc. I have six miniature poodles, so I always have something dog related to do, bath & trim hair--whoose puking now--let's have treats--code word for their Pet Tab Vitamins---I am trying to get a small business from home off the ground with a printer that doesn't work----so I know other people lead way busier lives than me, but this is all I have time for right now so if you could please cancel me on your site I would really appriecate it---Thanx & best wishes to you & your Doodles-Jeanmarie [e-mail]

ok, so how would you add a link?

At the very very top of any page you go to on the internet...there is that address that begins with "http://www.blahblahblahblah" -- just copy what is at the top of the page you want to direct people to and that is the link.

So for this page the link is: http://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/attention-everyone-who-is-a

For my page it is: http://www.doodlekisses.com/profile/Adina

So if you put the address of a site page or your page into the mass email you send to a group, members can click there to go to the page you are referring to.
