Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

It's raining doodles in TN and DRC has been asked to take 6 beautiful, needful souls, (some with critical health issues) into our rescue program.

We are putting a call out for TRANSPORT & FOSTER ASSISTANCE in the KNOXVILLE, CHATANOOGA & NASHVILLE AREAS. Or within reasonable driving distance of these locations in neighboring states such as GEORGIA, ALABAMA, THE CAROLINAS, KENTUCKY AND VIRGINIA.

Most urgent are 2 Heartworm-positive girls.....

...and 2 adorable boys from a neglect situation.

These dogs are a bit shy and confused at the moment but all are incredibly sweet, loving, resilient  and willing to trust and love anyone offering even the smallest bit of human kindness.

They will need patient reassurance, encouragement and most importantly safe haven until we can get them healthy and placed into wonderful forever homes.

If you are able to help in any way, please call us directly at 973-707-7089 or email us directly at: rescue@doodlerescue.org

Thank you all so very much for your unyielding support, continuous encouragement and your dedication to DRC and doodles-in-need!

I just can't believe that someone could let any animal, never mind a supposed pet dog, get to such a state. It's heart wrenching to see.
OMG, what a horrible condition they are in..... Poor babies.....My prayer for them to find a good foster and forever home.....:*(
Dispicable and disgusting.  It must be just shocking even for the most experienced rescuers.  Thank you for all that you do Jacquie.

Thank you Brucegirl.....I am but a mere speck in the collective footprint....lol..:  ) but so proud to be amongst giants and part of this incredible doodle community........Yes it is always shocking to see neglect and cruelty. Especially when it has been inflicted upon innocents at the hands of humans.

It seems at times that no matter what we all do to combat ignorance, injustice, violence, neglect or cruelty, whether on behalf of animals or human beings in need, our efforts are not unlike taking grains of sands off a beach. For every grain you spare from the ravages of the sea, there are 4 trillion more being dumped there every day by that very same sea.....

We all just have to be grateful and remind ourselves metaphorically everyday that our task and our efforts while overwhelming, make a difference to that one tiny grain of sand........

The two girls are out of the shelter :-)  I picked them up in Chattanooga this afternoon and delivered them to their next stop on their journey to a forever home.  These girls were terrified but it only took 15 minutes of walking (back and forth in the same area) for one girl to start waggin her tail and the other to look hopefully in my direction.  They are great dogs, some family will have a wonderful addition!

Where are the other 2?

Jennifer, you are an angel!
Thank you, Jennifer!
