Ava is getting spayed today

Our mini Goldendoodle Ava is at the vet now getting spayed, shots and taking care of her ears. She is one so I'm hoping her recovery is easy. The kids and I miss her like crazy :( does anyone have any helpful tips for when she comes home? I want her comfortable and happy. Thanks in advance :)

Buy a comfty e-collar! The one they sent Willow home with was huge and didn't fit in her crate. They sell inflatable and cloth ones at most pet stores!

Be prepared - she will be super sleepy when you pick her up. She might want to be left alone, but will be back to her normal puppy self very soon :)

make sure the ecollar lets her chin breathe, and be prepared to do lots of drying on her chin with an absorbant towel.

our guy got a really bad hotspot from his beard getting wet and not drying in the collar.  he nearly had to be sedated for treatment.

We put our Bella in a t shirt or large oversized onesie instead of the e collar it worked great!
