A few days ago I was watching TV and they were interviewing a guy named Neil Pasricha who is the author of a book called The Book of Awesome. He said something that struck a chord, he said “Life is so great that we only get a tiny moment to enjoy everything we see. That moment is right now. And that moment is counting down. And that moment is always, always fleeting. You will never be as young as you are right now.”
His premise is that there are awesome little things that happen to us every day and we just need to stop and take a moment to appreciate them. With all the bad that happens in this world every day, we miss out on all the little things that bring us just a slight bit of pleasure.

Quincy and I want to wish you all a Happy Holiday, no matter what or where you celebrate we wish you peace and joy.

Some awesome things that happened to me today.

I went to Walmart to return something, there was no lineup just me. Awesome

We went for a walk on the golf course and ran into Quincy's doodle friend Molly ( who is absolutely adorable) two doodle romping in the snow. Awesome

I tried a Blueraspberry Martini. Awesome

This time of the year is especially hectic so slow down and share something awesome that happened to you.

Same here - a nice dusting to brighten everything up.  Awesome!

i enjoyed a wonderful day with my DH's children and grandchildren...it hasn't always been that way.   :) :)

So glad it was fun.

Things to be thankful for.  I am happy for you and your DH.  Sometimes extended families take some time to get used to holidays, etc.

Indeed, time is necessary.  too bad it is such an important comodity, time is wasted too much so.

After Chemo apt this morning and baking cookies and candy the rest of the day we just went down to our local village sports bar.  I felt since their owners were making them work, we should support the employees.   Bought the bar a round and told the bartender to tell them it was on her with the hope she would get a better tip.  Then we tipped her good for being there tonight.  Merry Christmas everyone!

Our family agreed no presents this year (no kids ), we took the money we would have spent on each other and donated to charities. No stress, no shopping, just enjoying family, food and the spirit of Christmas. Awesome.
I did shop for "the boys" and can't wait to watch them open gifts from Santa. Again, Awesome.

Ronna, that is awesome, I like the no gift idea, maybe I`ll slip it in to the conservation at dinner tomorrow. Happy Holiday to you, DH and the doods.

We decided to take Chester to visit DH's Grandmother who has Alzheimers- and is in a Nursing Home. He was great.

He stole the show all the staff and many residents all came over to see him. DH's Grandmother had a few moments of clarity and talked about having dogs when she was young.

It was really AWESOME to bring joy to some of the residents. It made the visit a bit easier. (it can be stressful.)

This is a great blog- Much Needed. I love the picture of Quincy- glad to see he is doing better! (love his Jacket too).

Happy Holidays!

awesome!  enjoy your holiday.

Thanks Hazel, I'm glad Chester bought some joy to thre residents of the nursing home, I am sure they don`t get a lot of that. Happy Holidays to you too.

This is a great story Hazel!  Love that Chester!
