Barking in the house....

Any suggestions on barking in the house... Violet sees people, dogs outside and barks loudly..I have tried ..no hush....but she can not hear me because of her loud bark ...Thoughts ?

Calla barks out in the yard at all perceived enemies and does some of that inside too. But she never barks to go in or out or anything like that. Very little vocalization altogether . Luca barks to come in if he has been waiting and has many different barks and other sounds to let me know what he wants. If you manage to teach Theo let us know how.
