DH just called...
I guess he left the back sliding door open while he was showering so the dogs can run in and out as they please for a bit longer before he left for work. He found Zoe waiting for him after his shower and he kissed her hello and she smelled funny. He found Ben in the living room ottoman chewing on a stick...except it wasn't a stick! DH picked it up and he said it felt funny and saw fur at the end. EW!!!!!! It was a possum tail!!!!! ew ew ew ew ew
DH already gave them a quick bath and mouth wash before he left but he said they probably need another one tonight when we get home. He didn't have time to go looking for the BODY though. I think it's been there for a couple days because Ben's been sniffing around like crazy around the Ivy leaves in the back but I just thought he smelled the raccoons hanging out from the night before (yes we have raccoons at night that some to eat all the fruits from the trees). Or could my little fluffy cuddly puppy baby killed the possum today while DH was showering? AHHHH!!!!
So my question is. after he finds the body (probably somewhere in the backyard), Do I need to sanitize the yard? and with what? And OMG I need to clorox my house!!!! Tail on ottoman means Ben took the tail from backyard, dragged it though the deck, the office, the hallways, the living room, and who knows maybe he was thirsty and took it to the kitchen before he jumped onto the ottoman with my lovely cushions!!!!

***UPDATE ON THE POSSUM***
So DH could NOT find the body. He looked all over the backyard and didn't find anything...BUT he WAS looking for a WHOLE BODY.
Last night every time Ben went out for a potty break he came back with yet another present from the possum.
1.) tail (during the day as above discussion)
2.) claw/hand/arm After dinner - he was calmly sitting on the deck so I went to go look at him. He looked up at me with ever so loving eyes and POSSUM CLAW IN MOUTH! gross! I screamed my head off.
3.) a body part/bone during the before bed potty break
4.) a bloody bone this morning
I think it's like parts of a possum that maybe a racoon brought in? Or maybe it's buried somewhere and DH didn't see it. I guess I know what we are doing tonight after work =/
OMD! too much FYI for me!!!!
