I'm still new to DK so bare with me. I've started a blog and would like to add to it, which I did a couple of days ago, but it is

Hi Melissa, your whole discussion did not post, so we don't know what you were going to say, but I'm going to guess. Blogs require approval from our administrator, Adina. So your blog will not show up on the site until she approves it.
hmmm, that is really weird that my whole discussion didn't post.. Yes, my question was: my original blog post was approved. Does each addition to that approved blog have to be approved each time you add to it, and if so, how long does it usually take to go through approval?
Yes, any time you change, edit, or alter your blog, it's going to have to go through approval again. So I've learned to really proofread carefully before submitting it, lol.
Adina has 2 kids, 2 dogs, a husband, a home, and a very busy career in addition to running DK, so sometimes, it can take a few days for her to approve blogs. Other times they get approved right away. You can always message her if it seems to be taking a very long time.
Good to know. Thank you for the information :-)
Did you have a blog post up and it vanished? I thought there was one missing. I feel like instead of editing most people add a new blog post rather than editing a previous one.
The thing with only part of a comment or discussion posting happens on a fairly regular basis. I try to remember to copy my comments before I submit them so that if it doesn't work I can try it again and not have to remember what I said the first time!
Hi Stacy,
Yes, I did the mistake of clicking "continue" to add to my blog.....so now the whole thing has to be approved.
Good tip about copying your message before you hit post...I think I'll be doing that from now on.
Discussions appear immediately. Most people only update a blog or discussion to post an update - like the results of the vet visit or testing; they just post a new blog or discussion. If you want to refer to your previous posting, you could refer to it and post a link to it. Hope this helps.
Just curious - why do blogs have to be approved, when nothing else on DK goes through that process?? I tried to post about Hartley's birthday on Boxing Day, it still hasn't been approved :(
It's my fault, lol. I posted what was supposed to be my HDA discussion as a blog, and Adina really wanted those as discussions. If she'd had to approve it at the time, she would have messaged me and asked me to do it as a discussion instead, but she couldn;t do that, because it was already posted and people had already replied. So she made it where she has to approve them before they are posted.
If you try to post a video, that also has to be approved, but for a different reason.
