blood in the ear

I dont know where to post this.. but i was just cleaning emma's ears.. and i found blood in the kleenex. maybe i went too deep ? the vet told me to clean emma's ears just with kleenex . just wipe it . my vet is away till the 11th .. has anyone experienced this before.

If it was just a tiny drop of bright red blood you probably just scratched her ear canal. I think it would be impossible for you to get too deep in the ear canal with a finger to cause any important damage. I use makeup removal pads because they're a little "padded" . I'd just observe Emma for now.
