Bocker had a great time at the DogCatemy Gala last night. It was a celebrity event for the benefit of the North Shore Animal League. Bocker was guest celebrity pet and his video "The Year In My Life As a Dog" was up for an award. We were runner up to Dr. David Best and his jack russell, Elvis, who had a video on Elvis' barkmitzvah. It was an honor to be invited. Bocker got hugs and kisses from everyone and at the end walked up on stage when Mya was performing and then she invited some of the other pet celebrities up. It was fun. Most important was that all the money raised went to help the NSAL. We will add a few pictures...right now there are pics on Bocker's website at: http://www.bocker.tv/dogcatemy_2008.htm
Thanks. It was obviously loads of fun and quite a celebrity list but all there for the same reason...to help out the North Shore Animal League and to honor all the good they do. Glad Bocker can be of help to them too!
Marie.....If Tamar is actually working directly with the Obamas to rescue a doodle, I would love to contact her directly and send her pictures and information on a few perfect non-shedding, wonderful doodle candidates currently in rescue in the DC and Chicago area.....I know for a fact that EVERY breeder and rescue in creation is trying to get through!...I would love an opportunity to present these dogs to Tamar and the Obamas without being part of that "feeding frenzy"........I will email you all of my contact info privately.....
What do you say I call my friend at the Oprah Winfrey Show and we get a bunch of us together with Bocker and IDOG and have a discussion about the Obamas adopting a doodle and disspell all doodle and designer dog myths and rumors?.....
Between that and Bocker's Buddies and Oprah's closeness to the Obama's and their hunt for a goldendoodle and Joe Biden's family having a labradoodle..I think it is time to get the truth out there about our doodles. Who do you know with Oprah? We were just with Tamar Geller Thursday and I know she trained Oprah's dogs. Bocker has been the spokesdog for lots of doodles and I do get upset when I hear them called designer dogs.
