I am writing to let everyone know that my family is safe and sound, and I am hoping that the same is true for all of my DK friends from the area.
What a horrific day for our beautiful city and another devastating event for our nation. My thoughts go out to everyone who is injured or afraid.

I was truly shocked when I heard about this tragedy. We are sending our love and our prayers to everyone who was involved and to all of Boston. We hope there is a swift resolution in finding and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
Wow...and I am flying back a week from this Thursday to visit my son, DIL and four grandchildren. Thankfully, they are in spring break this week and staying down in West Virginia at a resort. This took place two blocks from where my son lived before he was married and we spent so much time walking around Boyleston St. My DIL usually has quite a few friends who run the marathon and she is in the crowd supporting them. I am so thankful that this year she didn't go and is with the family!! There are no words that can possibly describe how angry and mad and hateful I feel right now!
Hi Nancie,
If you find yourself in need of a doodle fix while you're up visiting your family, please get in touch with me. I live minutes from them, and would love to get together for a walk. I will send you my contact information.
I am so glad that your son, daughter-in-law, and grandkids are all fine, and were far away from yesterday's gruesome events.

Hey Laurie...yes, let's get together! I just PMed you with my info. See you in a few weeks!!!
Nancie, I am so glad your family is safe.
Glad they're safe.
It is so difficult to comprehend. A brutal, cruel, and senseless act.
I am so glad that you and your family are safe. What a tragedy.
I just couldn't believe it yesterday. We were still pretty busy with the last day of tax season, but we were trying to follow everything on line. There were so many medical people around to help with regular marathon injuries, I have to think that a lot of people were able to receive critical medical care sooner than they would have otherwise. First responders really came through again.
