Hi All,

I'm going crazy trying to find a mini labradoodle breeder.  I came across Jubilee and they have the size I want.  I also want a pup with a very laid back temperament .  Just wondering how people's experience with Jubilee and if anyone has a breeder that they would recommend .  I Iive in NY.  My son has a Labradoodle and I love him.  He is the sweetest pup.  His breeder doesn't breed mini doodles. :(  Please help!  Thanks so much

From my experience, mini doodles are just not as laid back as larger doodles.

Just like Miniature Poodles are not as laid back as Standard Poodles. Little dogs can be hyper and yappy.

Of course, puppies of any kind or size are generally not calm and laid back. That comes with maturity.

But more important than personal recommendations are the guidelines on what you should be looking for in a breeder. My mini is calm and not yappy and of the other minis we meet with at our romps only one is, but the more I read the discussions here on dk, the more I think that an awful lot of minis do have the same issues with barking that so many small dogs have.

It may depend on how far back the purebred mini Poodles are. With ALDs like Ned, it might be several generations back as opposed to being the mother or father.

Don;t get me wrong, I love Miniature Poodles. But I wouldn't describe them as being "laid back." :)
