Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi everyone,

We are new to this site and asking for your feedback and experience with the allocation/adoption of your puppy from a breeder.

We are supposed to pick up our labradoodle puppy on August 6th ( 2 days from this post ). After emails and text asking from information on our upcoming adoption, the breeder promised to get the address, location and time of our adoption on Monday ( 4 days ago ) and updated pictures of the litter. We have called, emailed and texted multiple times again this week and we have not heard from the breeder nor have they returned our communication attempts. We were also promised pictures and we have not gotten any updated pictures of our littler since July 4. My kids have been counting down the days and I am worried that in 2 days we will have to explain why their puppy isn't here.

We are growing increasingly concerned about the credibility of this breeder. We have already paid, at this point, $1300 via check that was cashed. With the financial and emotional investment we have made, we would like to know if anyone has experienced this when adopting their puppy. I am not one to put a negative light on a business but with only 2 days before our adoption and not a single communication from the breeder after multiple attempts, we are reaching out to the labradoodle community for feedback.

Thank you in advance!

That's too bad. It looks like they are on the premium breeders list for goldendoodles and labradoodles, so that's a plus. Are you picking up your puppy directly from the breeders house or somewhere else? Hope all goes as planned for you. I do understand your concern though.

Yes directly from breeder's home - but even til now...I dont know where "home" is

I agree with Amy. They look  like very good breeders. It did say that they were having a problem with their sever. It might be temporarily out of service. I don't think that they would ignore you on purpose. I hope you are able to get your puppy:(. Good Luck!

Thank you. The website looks good on my end. Just hoping not to break my kids' hearts.

Maybe leave a facebook message for them to contact you, though it doesn't look like they are very active on it.

Like the others say, from their website, they look legit.  My only flag was that it looks like they had at least 6 liters going ...  puppies going home 7/31, 8/6, 8/13, 8/14, 8/20 and 9/3.  With another that went home 7/9 ... that is a lot of puppies.  That would make for one very busy person, not just to take care of that many puppies, but to communicate with that many families.  I'd certainly be blowing up their phone at this point if it were me.  I did a quick internet search and didn't see any complaints about them jump out, but didn't spend that much time at it either.  Hope it all works out.

I agree 100% Sheri; looked like an awful lot of litters on the ground at one time. (And considering that the website claims that all of the pups are kept in their home, that must be one heck of a big house, lol.)

Keep us posted!!

If she has six litters going out this month, I can only imagine why she is so busy.  I think you did make a mistake of paying for the puppy before you had him/her in hand.  My breeder had three litters and two that went out this spring, but she is extremely organized.  Beyond me how they can do it.  I can't keep my three dogs under control .  She needs a large place for all these pups and extreme organization.  Good luck.

I hope all went well today and your family brought home your new puppy.

Any update?

I am interested in hearing how it went also.
