Hey guys! I will also post this in the food group but I wanted to get everyone's everyday opinion. We switched Brinkley to Orijen six months ago or so. For the first four months he scarfed the food down. He's not one to scarf food...I never have to worry about him overrating. He stops when he's full and eats when he is hungry. But as of late, I've noticed that he is less interested in his food. He will still beg for regular food, which we don't give him. Sometimes he will get up in the middle of the night, go downstairs, eat the food in his bowl and then go back to sleep, but he isn't nearly as interested as he was previously. Yesterday, I was gone most of the day but my parents said he didn't eat at all. This morning I switched out the old food with fresh food and he didn't eat it. Just now, he went over to his bowl, sniffed it like he was hungry and then walked away without eating. I really wanted him to eat and do it on his own, so I sprinkled some chicken broth on the food. He ate all the chicken broth in the bowl and some of the food, but not much. He's definitely not sick but could he be sick of his food?

He's very active and I want to make sure he's eating enough!
Thanks in advance!

I usually sprinkle some Ziwipeak http://www.ziwipeak.com/ on her Orijen each morning and night.  It encourages her to eat.  If I have leftover chicken or fish, or an extra hard-boiled egg I use that.  If I don't, she eats very little and follows us around looking like a starving puppy.  I know she won't starve herself, but I would like her to enjoy her food :)

Oliver goes thru periods of not eating his full required amount of food when the weather is warm.  Last summer I thought he was just a fussy eater but as soon as the weather got cooler here in NJ he ate ALL his food.  I feed 2x a day, 1/2 the required amount in the a.m. and half in the p.m.  If they do not finish within a half hour or so I take it away.  Since I have two doodles and Sasha is a foodie type dog who will eat her food and then finish up Ollies food too !!

I change the flavor of the food every other bag (40lbs) or so just to keep things interesting.  I also use topper with EVERY meal.  Sasha loves her pumpkin or any thing "squash" which is her fav., Ollie like his live :)

You may want to put some toppers to held him along.... I was so worried about Ollie last year, he was only eating 1/2 his daily requirement.  He was only 1 yr. old and I was afriad he was not getting enough nutrition but he survived :)

Our Doodle has eaten Origen for five years and never a problem.

Ours were switched to Orijen last year and they still scarf it up! I hope you find a solution!
