Max has been losing his teeth. So far, almost all his front teeth are out and a canine. One tooth that is loose is now brown.

Is that just because the root is dead? Should I be concerned or let nature take it's course?

Thanks!

No expert, but I would just watch it to make sure it falls out soon.
I think I would just watch it but I'll bet it will be out and lost before you can turn around!
Is your dog a puppy? Do you feed canned food? Do you feed a semi soft food? I have never seen a brown tooth~
He is just about 5 months old.

I feed him kibble.

A brown tooth usually occurs when the root dies.
UPDATE:

I spoke to the vet and he said pretty much what I thought. It's the root from the milk tooth being reabsorbed. It is loose but, if it doesn't fall out within a month, than I should take him to the vet for further examination. He said that this is when some bad breath can kick in. I have noticed Max's breath becoming a little "off" for lack of better words. He lost three teeth in the last two days - of course - not the brown loose tooth LOL! Poor guy is down to one canine. :)
