buying a year old multigenerational female to breed

we are in utah and are looking for a female to buy to start our breeding . we are also looking for a male to stud in utah . are there any ideas where we should look to find what we need?

Hi Tom, I would suggest you look in the labradoodle puppies for sale group and contact the breeders who have listings there. You'll have to pay more for a breeding female and if she's a year old quite likely if she's been kept intact she may already have been health tested so the cost of that may be added on. Do you have something in mind as to what type of female/male you are looking for? Color? Size? Specific coat type? What is your breeding goal?
Have you looked at the ALAA's website? That's another place to look to find a list of breeders who follow a basic standard with regard to health testing, etc.
These are some things to think about.
I don't want this discussion to turn into solicitations from breeders to "check out my female", etc. So I will close this discussion and ask that breeders contact you privately. I will also send you some resources privately that you can look into.
