Can puppies get moles?

Last week I noticed a dark spot was starting to appear on Riley's underside. In the past week it is now a very pronounced "something." It kind of looks like a mole? Has anyone ever seen this? Pic below. We've been to vet so often I dread going back again. Hoping it isn't a big deal. Thanks!

I'm not an expert but I think the answer is yes. I seem to remember a lost dog post where it was mentioned that the dog had a recent mole on her face!  I would, however get it checked out with your vet.

Yes, they can get growths. But I would have that vet checked, especially if it is growing and changing. And the sooner, the better. Keep us posted!

Well it has round margins which I is good. Still I would have your vet look at it.

Libby had something very similar recently, which turned out to be nothing.  But best to err on the side of safety and caution and get it checked by your vet.

Baker had a small, dark mole-like growth on his side a year or so ago…the vet wanted to remove it because of the color & the fact it was new…she made a very large incision & it turned out to be benign melanoma.  She said he may or may not get more.   You should see the vet.  We were surprised at the amount of tissue she took.  Baker is fine & so far has not had any more spots.  Better safe than sorry…keep us posted :)

So this was odd. I made a vet appointment for yesterday. On Wednesday, I noticed the spot was almost gone and the skin looked white like how we get little scars under a scab. I guess it was some kind of scab even though it didn't look like it. Ended up canceling the appt since there wasn't really anything left to show him. Weird....
