I have my dogs on a pretty good schedule. Almost every afternoon, we go for a walk up at the park. Yesterday, we went out in the morning and just when we were about home, my tire light came on again. I knew we were stranded at the house, so in the afternoon I took them for a quick walk in the field that runs next to our yard. Apparently, Fudge did not get the memo that we would not be driving any place else for our afternoon walk. I don't remember why my car door was open, but whenever I checked on the dogs, Fudge was sitting in the car just waiting for us to leave. When I went to get the camera, of course, Vern had to jump in too, to make sure he was not being left at home alone or missing out on anything.

We are ready to go:

Maybe if I look right at her, she will know I am serious:

Let's Get this Show on the Road:

By now, Vern deserted the ship. He is a mover and a shaker and this was taking way too long. Fudge remains patient:

Hey Lady.....Get the keys, already!!!

I bet she sat in that van waiting for over an hour. She was not impressed when I told her I had things to do and we were not going for a walk. The good news was I knew she was not digging in the yard. I think I will leave my van open more often. Do you have a very patient dog too?

P.S.   Please excuse the messy car. I could make some lame excuse, but this is how it usually looks with two dogs in it every day!

How cute!   Fudge, patience is a virtue!
My DH tells me that all the time and we even said that at my DD's wedding. When they were passing out patience, my DD and I were trying to find a quicker line AND I said that too at the wedding...LOL!!

Aww Fudge, sorry you and Vern didn't get to go to the park, it looks like it would have been a great day to go. You are such a good girl for being so patient.

Luckily, dad took us all when he got home :)
In the second to last picture Fudge  looks so pitiful...Look at those sad puppy eyes
Thanks, Elizabeth. She really is mistreated...LOL!!
You call that messy. My living room floor looks far worse right now after the doodles came in from there first outing with the pieces of leaves, I mulched with the mower, stuck all over them. I may try throwing some grass seed down there and see what I can get going : ) But no patient doodles here. Calla paces around and gives me mournful looks when she is waiting to go out or I pick up the leash but am not moving quick enough. Luca yips repeatedly when he wants something. Fudge does mournful looks very well!
The funny thing is in the house she keeps making a loop through the house..round and round...and it drives me nuts. Usually, I cave and we go for a walk and then she sleeps, which I like much better than the looping :) Oh those dreaded leaves.....the curse of living in the country surrounded by trees. Vern's tail is like a Swiffer. Looks and yips can drive you nuts too...LOL!!
Fudge, Vern and Gavin are adorable wait-ers.
Ha Ha :)   Very punny!
LOL
Thank you, Bonnie!
