Changing from "Cindy and Rippley" to "Cindy" and now, "Cindy and Olive!" (Ollie)

We just received word that we are expecting a girl! Introducing, Olive (Ollie), whom we will pick up on 5/26 - I will be looking for girl advice as I will finally have another female in this house and won't know what to do about it! ;)
The boys of course are thrilled and I have to admit I'm nervous - she looks so much like our dear Rippley did and it feels bittersweet, but we will be doing all we can to promote her happy and healthy, hopefully long life with us! Please wish us luck!

I'm so happy for you, Cindy! Olive is beautiful! Jack's mother's name was Olive, and we have an "Olive" living next door who is a sweetheart; I'm sure your Olive will be as sweet as she looks, and bring you years and years of joy. :)

(PS: I think you probably meant that you're picking her up on 5/26? LOL)

Yes, thanks for the edit! I'm so glad to hear about your positive associations with "Olive" - that's got to be a good omen, right? I'm really not superstitious, but in this case, I'm taking the good from where I can get it! ;)

Congratulations Cindy. She is precious. I have a girl after having 2 boys. There really isn't that much difference, other than the obvious. My male mini schnauzer still liked to hump everything, even after his surgery, where Annabelle being a girl, has never humped. Good Luck with your new little one, I love her name.

Thank you, Amy! Not humping is def a perk, LOL, but my neighbor's mini poodle (girl) humps her a LOT! Isn't that odd? Then again, she is mini ruler of their house ;)

I assumed it was a male thing. Since Annabelle is 3/4 mini poodle, I guess I should be lucky she isn't a humper.

Jack has never humped anything, my female miniature Poodle did. Definitely more related to personality and temperament than to sex, with spayed/neutered dogs.
