Tara received a bag of Odor Free, thin, Bully Sticks from Best Bully Sticks yesterday and there were bugs in the bag with the sticks. I spoke with customer service today and they said the bugs "probably got there during transit". What??? I'm not sure if they meant the transit from the source to them or from them to me. I know I can't even get into the bag without scissors! Anyhow, they are sending a replacement bag which I will be examining closely before opening. They also asked for the Lot Number so they will be doing some in-house investigation as well apparently.
Just wanted to give you a heads up about it if you do business with Best Bully Sticks. I have purchased bullies from them for years with no issues so it's not a common problem and I will continue to use their service but right now there may be an issue. So take a peek!!

Thanks, Nancy!
LOL, best question I've heard in a long time!!
Mary, if she never has one she won't know what she's missing! It's amazing and at times disgusting, the things you'll find for sale as dog treats. :(
Mary, when we picked up Tara the breeder gave her a tiny bully stick to bring home. She loved it and with her tiny teeth it seemed to last forever. Tara has a sensitive stomach but has no trouble chewing and eating the sticks. They seem to be fairly easy for her to digest, unlike rawhide which can be indigestible and dangerous to give your pup. . Also she is not an aggressive chewer so they last days or weeks depending on her mood. If your doodle turns out to be an aggressive chewer, as others have mention, they can down them pretty fast and they can be expensive. But you could still use them as an occasional treat. We get the odor free bully sticks as some of them can be quite malodorous. :(
That is pretty gross. Years and years ago I went to a home store and was looking at those lap tables for breakfast in bed. The one I was looking at was from Indonesia and when I picked it up, dozens of bugs came crawling out. I screamed an dropped it on the floor. So glad Annabelle no longer wants bully sticks. It was a nasty habit when you think about it. But it was the only thing that really satisfied her chewing habit for a year.
Amy, all I could think of was that they would get loose and start some environmental disaster caused by an invasive species! LOL Right now we're fighting an English Ivy invasion from our neighbors yard-it now being outlawed in Oregon because it literally takes over and kills everything in its path. I didn't want to be responsible for killer bugs on the loose. So glad Annabelle has kicked the bully stick habit and you don't have to deal with them anymore. Tara will occasionally sneak one into bed and I will find in on my pillow!! EW!
That's interesting about the English Ivy, I had no idea.
"Killer Bugs on the Loose." I think Laurie needs to turn this into a blog, lol. It could be a Lauricki collaboration.
OMG!! I would never get to sleep. I would feel like bugs were crawling all over me.
Amy, just pray that Annabelle never gets fleas. It's pretty much like that. Your worst nightmare, times 2. Or 3.
**shudder**
Amy, let me assure you that she is NOT getting the buggy sticks! Now, I have to go wash my bedding! LOL
