Collar no tags found in MI- Anyone recognize him?
Livingston Animal Control has him....This is so sad, hope his owner visits DK....
Adult black mix found in Hartland twp off Bullard. Leather collar & choke chain. No ID. Not available for adoption until 08/02/10 and then on a first come/first serve basis. Last date available for adoption is 08/25/10.

I saw this listing and felt so bad for him...he's so cute and clearly must have been someone's pet. He's mid-way between Detroit and Lansing. 8/25/10 is his execution date if he isn't adopted or pulled before then.

Finding a foster is not the hard part- it's getting him to the foster that's hard. We have another dog in MI that we're trying to arrange transport for right now. No fosters currently available in that part of the country.

I am new to the rescue/foster process so I have to learn how it works. I can volunteer to help drive a dog. Can you send me the info? Is there away to pull this guy from a kill shelter and get him more time?

Your best bet is to write or call Adrianne again. You already are talking with her about the other dog. She is director of volunteers on DRC. DRC can make the calls and do the leg work. They will then let you know what is needed from your end. Call Adrianne and let her know about this post

I've just been informed that the other dog, Minga, has been adopted and no longer needs us. So maybe those who were ready to help her could help this guy instead? I second Joanne's advice, contact Adrianne.

He looks like someone's pet and he looks very confused and lost. This breaks my heart and makes me think of Peri out there alone.
