Hi, I brought Colter home just 2 days ago. He's "older" according to the breeder, 4 months. He has absolutely no interest in toys. Chew toys, stuffed toys, rubber toys, no toys. It's like he doesn't understand the concept of play and toy. What can I do to help him learn to play with his toys?
Oh, Doris, that made me cry! I would have been absolutely devastated. I am already so attached to Colter, I can't even imagine what you went through.
As I am sitting here typing, Colter is beginning to chew on one of his new toys. His attention span is brief, but he's beginning to acknowledge that he has toys. He sounds a lot like Tahoe, personality-wise. He is a wonderful dog and he's beginning to relax more and more. He is already a fantastic companion. So cuddly--like a big ole teddy bear.
Thank you for sharing your story about Tahoe. I'm glad you have Knox. He may be full of energy but he's still your boy and I bet, that as much as Colter will begin to act like a puppy--a laid back puppy--Knox will calm down a bit as he matures.
