Hi,

does anyone have a recommendation on a cooling towel/ bandana for dogs?  With the warmer weather here I wanted to get one for Nala.

Thanks so much!

I have the Chill Out bandana. It seems to help in keeping her cooler on walks.

I have a cooling pad for Jack.. It doesn't require to be put in the refrigerator or anything... When he is getting hot or if we are out. I just put it down for him to lay on, its so awesome .........I got it at pet smart for around$50.00

I had 2 of those for the girls a couple years ago but the gel kept bunching up when they laid on them and I couldn't straighten it out.

Jack's is like a gel pad, it doesn't bunch up.. it is pretty heavy though

I use the Ruffwear Swamp Cooler coat, it is amazing.

Wow! I’ve never heard of this stuff, especially for walks!!  When it’s really hot — who am I kidding cuz when it’s cold too!- my pups like to lay on our tile floor. I do know some people get small child swimming pools for their dogs.

I've never heard of these bandanas either.

Luna LOVES the kiddie pool and plays in it with our daughter :p  She's also a crazy sunbather though... the hotter out the better.  She stays outside sunning herself until her coat is so hot you can't pet her (only takes about 5 minutes on really hot days!)

Annabelle loves her kiddie pool. She has had it since her first summer 3 years ago. It has her teething marks on it.

Thanks so much to everyone for all the replies :)

We have a kiddie pool as well for Miss Nala.  She HATES water. Lol. We give her a bath in the summer in the kiddie pool and she can’t stand it.  As soon as we let her go she goes crazy rolling all over the grass.  Even when the family is in the big pool, she stays clear. She wants no part of water.

Like Luna, she is a sun bather.  As a matter of fact she is outside laying on her back with her feet sticking up in the air taking some rays.

When Nala was a puppy, I had a scare with her the first summer. She spotted baby bunnies in the yard and went nuts chasing them. It was hot out and I couldn’t catch her.  She panted so badly we got scared.  We were able to get her in the house where it was cool and apply wet towels to her neck to cool her down, but I never forgot that.

I find Nala gets hot quickly, so I was wanting to find a cooling towel or something like that for her.  I have a cool mat, but the one I have am not impressed with.

Thanks again for the help!

chris
