Copper smell??

My 12 week GD pup is really itchy and smells like coins?? Is it her diet? My 7 yo doodle never had this problem. When I first got her two weeks ago she had fleas but I haven't noticed them anymore. I thought it was puppy impetigo but I don't know if that accounts for the smell. Help!

Check her ears.  When we got Ned, he smelled and it turned out to be ear infections.  Sometimes one of my doodles has a smell that I might describe as copper-like.  I think it is urine on his fur.

If it's a metallic kinda fish odor smell then there's a possibility its anal secretions which means her anal sacs are full. You can empty them out yourself but it's best if you consult with your doctor first and let him guide you on the proper way to do it so you don't have to come into the vet or groomers all the time. This happened to my mother's pug and she's earned the title of Ms Penny Butt. My mother does this daily now to prevent her from having swollen glands.
