We have learned that all natural things may not be safe. This warning appeared on NBC last night.
See Karen's link below. I can't get mine to work. Gremlins again.

Just checked...not in either of Trixies Shampoos
Not in FInn's either, but now I'll know to keep an eye out.
So I have a question is D-Limonene the same thing as Limonene? WE have shampoo that has Limonene in it as the second to last ingredient but it does not have a D in front of it. I have used it on Jack twice, It is very expensive shampoo that I got as a gift for him.
He has not had any topical issues since using it, not even any itching but if it is the same thing I will chuck it
It looks like the same basic substance: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limonene
I wouldn't use it. It can't be expensive enough to take a risk.
Karen is right. I'd throw it in the trash. I have to check the doodles shampoos too. Many dogs are probably not sensitive to it but why take a chance. It also might not cause a reaction the first or second time but could after the dog has been exposed to it enough. The D probably means it's an isomer of limonene but it would be basically the same stuff.
"The D probably means it's an isomer of limonene..."
Yep, that's what Wikipedia said. You are a jeenyus, F!
Ah, thanks but lots of chemistry courses in the olden days helps : )
I've checked Quincy's shampoo and it doesn't have it thank goodness, I will certainly watch for it from now on. Thanks for the info F.
No ingredients listed on Riley's shampoo so I have sent an email requesting information from the company and waiting for a reply. It is the one used by lots of the groomers here and I have a gallon of the stuff....nothing listed on the website or any of the containers. It's called Keri-Cot Ultimate.
Thanks, F. I am going to ask the groomer about this!
