My 28 year old daughter STILL drives me crazy - we lover her anyway.
I remember feeling the same way when our oldest was that age.
Poor Tina! Every parent makes some help me comments but I'm sure she could find lots of things to do if she uses her imagination. My sister is already saying stuff too and they didn't even finish school yet!! It's competition for mom's attention then so maybe you are lucky you don't have that?? Don't you wish we could come to a moment and realize and even tell someone we are bored?? Always something to do! (not fun stuff either) Have a good summer!!!

How true, boredom is not in my vocabulary.  DD has a very good imagination and sometime's it even gets her into trouble.

LOL!!  Camp and chores sound like good suggestions!!  A busy kid is a happy kid!  Wishing you all a great summer!
DH and I compiled a list of chores tonight and set up a point/reward system.

It sounds like your oldest is showing his leadership and creative skills, lol.

I was a teacher so usually had the time off with my son, but we did have some summer training that was out of town and my husband was working, so I discovered the trips with the YMCA.  One summer, they did a week long trip to all the amusement parks in So Cal.  The kids camped out in the YMCA and had counselors sleeping with them in sleeping bags.  THe next summer, they had a week-long trip to Catalina Island, sleeping in tents on the beach.  He loved these summer trips and they were particularly designed for working parents.  She's a little young, but these summer trips are perfect for the 11-14 year olds.
GS is just an overnight camp and we have signed her up for a few day camps.
DD got a volunteer job today reading to the elderly at the nursing home 1 day a week.   She loves to read and this will be a good experience for her.  I have to go with her, but it's well worth it.
That is fantastic! It will be wonderful for her and for the nursing home residents!

I think out of all our summer activities this will be the most rewarding.
