Do Fudge and Vern Have a Drinking Problem?

Fudge and Vern have had a great summer full of sun and fun. They love chasing each other in the yard, chasing squirrels and/or chipmunks, and basking in the sun.  My only concern is they seem to sneak off from time to time to quench their thirst. Please let me know if you think Fudge and Vern have a drinking problem and what I can do about it!  Be honest!

My professional opinion is no, no drinking problem. It's when you are drinking alone or hiding your their drinking that they have a problem. Do they make up excuses to drink? Do they hide how much they drink?

They could be functional drinkers.

Have you tried to confront them about their drinking?

We should probably form a A.P.o.E.D.D. group. You know, Adult Parents of Excessive Drinking Doodles. Maybe we should ask Bill W.

Lynn, They are pretty blatant about their drinking, so maybe my concern is not warranted....LOL! I guess I will keep monitoring them.

It's been A Long...Hot...Humid...Summer...and...By Doodle...What's A Doodle To Do??

I mean...We try...and We try to be Good...Yes... We Doodley Do!

Even in the Very Heat Of The Summer Sun...We try our very Doodley best... to be Oh So Doodley Good!!

But...Al Las...We Are Overtaken by the heat of the Sun...and we run to the Springs Of Living Water!!

We are only Doodles I say...and there is only so much a Doodle Can Do!

I think one can never get enough liquids no matter what kind of liquid it is.

Vern reminds me of the kid in front of me in line for the drinking fountain in Grade School.

You know what I really like, I like the way Fudge's tail curls up and forms a plume, she is fab!

Laurie, I'm sorry to tell you but they definitely have a problem. Like all hardened addicts, they have clearly manipulated you (with their incredible CUTENESS) into getting what they want. I'm sad to say that Sadie is the same way--at the dog park she stands by the faucet convincing people to help her get her fix, and one after another they all turn on the water for her so that she can drink directly from the tap.

Sadie is a thinker, for sure. How smart to wait for her drinks and have people at your beck and call....LOL!! Way to go, Sadie. I probably am an enabler :)
