Sometimes things are so funny and unexpected that you just have to share.
A few days ago my DH started a converstion with "I have to tell you what I did today and I really hope no one was watching". I was almost afraid to hear what he was going to say next. The story continued like this, " While I was at the golf course today walking with Quincy he was having problems with snowballs stuck to his paws. He had one that was really bothering him and he would stop every few steps and try to chew it off. Quincy couldn't seem to get rid of it so I tried to pick it off for him. I tried to get it off with my fingers but I couldn't get it either, so I took a quick look to make sure no one was watching and then I picked up his paw and chewed it off myself". OMD, I couldn't quite believe he had just said that, I found myself practically falling on the floor from laughing. When I finally stopped laughing I said " You know I am going to write a blog about this because it is just too funny to keep to myself". He just smiled, I think he already knew when he told me that his secret wasn't going to be so secret anymore.
Do you have funny stories of things that you have done for your doodles that would make other people say, "I can't believe you did that? If so please share your stories here, I promise not to tell, your secret is safe with me. :>)

This is great Donna-thanks for sharing his secrets! Too funny!!!
Out on a walk I ALWAYS tell DH to take 2 bags (for Chloe-Myla does everything in our yard :) )
Does he listen to me? Ever? Chloe had a "messy' poop and he already used the bag because she pooped once already (sometimes she poops twice usually saves one for the park) he turns to me and says do you have a bag? I said nope-used it the yard for Myla. I had a kleenex though and that didn't go to far. There was actually some 'dangling" from Chloe and we had nothing else so he takes his bare fingers and pulls it out of her!!! Wipes his hands on the grass! Right home we went I was LAUGHING (and gagging) all the way home. Few days later we are walking and I look down after feeling a dampness on my shirt about the neckline and a bird POOPED on me!!!! He was laughing all the way home!!!! (I was gagging)
Jennifer, payback is a b****! LOL
Donna I love the visual on this!! Oh where is Candid Camera when you need them?? LOL!
I (we) always wave at Gracie Doodle and blow her kisses! We did with our kids so why not with our Doodle??? Isn't that what you are supposed to do? I also talk to Gracie when we are walking. We have great conversations and she is such a good listener and doesn't interrupt me...ha ha
Donna, I swear I have read some LOL funny posts on DK, but this one made me LOL the hardest. I love all these stories!
Did I ever tell you guys about the time I was walking the doodles ona busy street lined with shops and Winston decided to squat and poop an enormous mushy poop, right smack in the middle of the sidewalk, in front of a coffee shop window where people were sitting and looking out. I stupidly didn't have any bags, and it was a mushy one so there was no way a bag was going to help me. I had to tie up the dogs and go inside that coffee shop where everyone was giving me either dirty or amused looks, and ask for something to help clean it up with. She handed me paper towels and a plastic bag. So there I was squatting on the side walk, wiping up mushy poop with paper towels on a sunny afternoon while tons of people were walking by me and the coffee shop foks were watching from the window. I was mortified the whole time. I used so many paper towels but couldn't get everything, so I had to warn people walking by not to step in it. In the process of doing this I inevitably ended up with poop on my hands. I had to go back in the shop and ask to wash my hands. I think that was one of the most mortifying moments of my life as a doodle mom.
Sherri, I commend your bravery, I may have pretended it didn't happen and just kept walking. Guess that wasn't an option with all those people watching. :>)
believe me, I thought about it.
OMD, Sherri!!! That is horrible! I certainly commend you for your diligence and for being such a responsible doodle owner! You set a very good example!!! Maybe some of the gawkers learned something that day!
I have one thing that I do with Tara that I suppose is pretty weird. BUT I don't do it outside (except in my really bad nightmares) and I will NOT post a picture (so don't even bother to ask, Laurie!-LOL!) BUT, every day DH and Tara get up before me and she waits outside in the hall until she hears me stirring then she goes to get DH who lets her into the bedroom to greet me. Well, when she reaches me is always right when I sit down on the pot for my first potty break of the day. She comes flying in and jumps on my lap. Lots of Doodle kisses and hugs but GEEZ! I'm on the toilet for pete's sake!!! I've never told any one about this before but I am sure all 8000 of you can keep a secret! :)
LOL, yep, your secret is safe.
OMD Ricki-Myla has done this to me!!!! I tell her this is MY time. If I don't shut the door all the way she always gives it a push to see what I'm doing in there! ( I never told anyone either!!!!)
