This is a Bissell Poweredge Pet hard floor vac-I'm SOOOOO tired of tumbleweeds! I keep finding hair tumbleweeds in the same places everyday or even multiple times a day. I sweep them up and next time I go back and they are back! It is SO FRUSTRATING! DH had put a new laminate floor in the office and we had one in the kitchen. I was using a broom and dustpan and then I would go over it again with a dry swiffer mop before I mop the floor. DH is VERY particular about what I use so it doesn't scratch the floor.

Last weekend I found this-it has rubber wheel (not plastic) and the pink things are like rubber sweepers and it sucks it up. The shape is to get against the baseboards. Just what we need is ANOTHER vac in the closet but I will break the bank buying swiffers for 2 rooms now to use multiple times a day! Anyway, if someone has this or seen it in person do you think it would pick up tumbleweeds for good (until next cleaning not next hour) or what do you do you use on laminate/hardwood?? My doodles don't shed a lot but there's quite a bit of those creatures everyday.

On Bissell.com if you order before June 30th-you get 10% off ($44.99) free shipping and then they will also donate 10% to animal shelters. So now would be the time. It's 49.99 at Target.

ANY advice??? It's driving me nutty! I know there are bigger issues in the world but this one keeps popping up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS!!

I just use the extension hoses on my vacuums or a mini handheld vac depending on what else I might be vacuuming at the moment.
Thanks-the vac hose would be great if I don't "roll" the vac at all on the new floor-really anal about things here at my house (DH)
My DH is anal about the hardwood floors to. So irritating.
Oh I quit worrying about scratches in my hardwood floor--gives it CHARACTER =)  Plus the vacuum is NOTHING to my doodles' claws as they scramble across the floor at any given time to chase each other or chase an outdoor sound and bark at it.  My floors are well worn they look like I picked out special wood just for the 'aged' look =)
Laminate floors are pretty durable, I run my vacuum over them all the time and it's never scratched.

Oh, I like the term tumbleweed.  I call them dust-doodles.  I have the Bissell Perfect Sweep and it does ok in corners but has a small dirt container so I am emptying it all the time.  I think I will check into the poweredge.

Do you have the link to the June 30th special?

Sure, it's www.bissell.com and then there's a picture of a dog towards the bottom, if you click on that it tells you what items are good for the donation. Thru June 30th-you have to put coupon code ADOPT in the checkout. Oh the time pressure......
Hmmm...  This looks interesting.  I have an old Eureka "The Boss" that works fairly well on the hardwood, but it's not great along the edges by the baseboards so I have to use the hose attachment of my hand vac while on my hands and knees.  Needless-to-say, it doesn't get done as often as it should.  I may have to look into this Bissell.

I have a Dirt Devil Express and I love it.  It is great on hardwood or rugs and it has a much larger dirt canister that you just detach and empty.  It also has a hose that's attached and really great for getting in corners.  Very lightweight, portable and inexpensive.  I got it on sale at Walmart for about $30.  Worth every penny!

That's nice because it has the tools with it!
I use the Swiffer Sweeper Vac.  I have laminate in all but two rooms.  One thing to point out, is it really is very durable.  Pretty hard to scratch.  I've got two doodles and we have been in the house 3 years and the only damaged laminate is where I dropped a 10 lb  hand weight on it.  I go through a lot of swiffers as well, but to me it is the best way to get these little doodle bunnies.  I have them as well.  I like it because you get the benefit of the swiffer pad, as well as some suction too and I don't have to deal with a cord.  (I hate cords).  I also have a little electrolux, battery operated one I use on my area rugs.  It has a little hand held part that comes off that I use for some other things as well.
YES! That was my first option until my husband saw the price-he said why don't you get a "REAL" vac for that price and no refills. So it DOES work good-I've been eyeing that up as well. It may have to be I shop alone days and just get one! Thanks!
