Does Your Doodle Chase Leaves??

Hartley loves to chase leaves, or pretty much anything else blowing in the wind!! Why is it always windy on garbage day?? Does your doodle chase things as they fly past in the wind?

O M G!! I will have to make sure that we secure the grill cover - Samantha will jump irght out of her skin if that moves. Thanks for putting that into my mind.

Yep, chases, barks and attacks them. I never really thought about it but it is always windy here on garbage day too. ;)

yes, herbie chases them too, and it always catches me off guard. He's really good about staying next to me when we walk and since I don't pay any attention to leaves flying around, I get unexpectedly yanked in one direction when he sees one.

That is exactly what Hartley does too!! He's walking along beside me, on a loose leash, I'm daydreaming, and all of sudden he's off, yanking me too! I always feel so stupid for him catching me out!!

Chasing leaves is Abby's favorite thing to do, picking up pine cones comes in second..

Do the pine cones leave any stickiness on Abby? I try and clean them up before Samantha can find them cause I get some kind of yuck on my hands which I didn't want her to get on her face. Am I wrong to keep them away from her?

Yes the pine cones, or hemlock cones leave the hair under Luca's mouth into a sticky mess.

No, the ones here aren't sticky but I know some are. I can't imagine having to clean that off her. We always take them from Abby, she can't resist picking one up when we are taking a walk.

We are lucky Molly doesn't pick everything up.

There have been several break-ins in our neighborhood in the past few weeks. We turned the alarm to 'chime' whenever a door opens even if the alarm is not on. W E L L, let me tell you - Samantha runs and barks everytime the chime chimes!!! I know we want her to scare away any potential thieves but this is ridiculous! She can stand next to me, I open the door, it chimes, she barks! I giggle! I love her so much but sometimes I wonder........

Yes to the squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits etc etc!! He even tried for the swans on the lake near us once, good job he was on the leash - he wouldn not have won that one!!

Milo is after pretty much anything that moves............
He loves to fetch ball but finds birds, leaves and sometimes even the small planes flying above more interesting than the ball!!
