A dog fighting app was released for Android (owned by Google) devices where you train a virtual dog to fight for virtual money.

We are on it in California.  "Just a video game" is hardly what this is about.  By the way, "just a video game" was played by my son when he was about 8 years old and when I saw what it was, I told him he was not allowed to play that game.  However, the older boy who was playing with him continued playing it on his big screen television.  It was a game with people racing on motorcycles through a virtual San Francisco.  If they would kill a cop, they would get points.  It was all violence and killing.  Twenty years later, the boy who had the game was killed by a cop in a drug related robbery.  Was that "just a game"?  And wasn't Michael Vick playing this game (for real) not too long ago?  I guess people never learn.

I am outraged --- absolutely outraged!  I am an elementary school teacher and you would not believe how many children ages 6 to 11 that I know who play all sorts of violent video games.  Then they come to school and use the language and violence in the classroom.  I have even made calls to Child Protective Services when parents allow their  children to play games like Black Opps.  I can't believe now the Android team is mamrketing a game that promotes cruelty to animals.  What on earth is wrong with people???!!! Just a video game --- are you kidding me.... I watched a 6 year old sit in the classroom and use his fingers to shoot at a fly rather than paying attention to the lesson.   Outrageous!!!!!
