Dog Friendly SUV's

We had a discussion once before on dog friendly SUV's. Does anyone have any advice on dog friendly models? I currently have a Lexus RX350 but now that Hattie has arrived with all her paraphernalia it is cramped, especially if I have someone riding with me or if I have luggage. I have to haul her crate to hotels now as well, and I bought one of those plastic ones that comes in two pieces but it takes up a lot of room in the back.

I got a 2011 Subaru Outback for my doodles.  There is plenty of room for both of them, easy to jump into 30+ miles to the gallon on the road and a crate large enough for two of them to be in, fits in the back cargo area.  The back seats will both collapse, or you can leave one up and one down.  There are hooks in the roof that I attach the tethers to that confine them with their harnesses.  It isn't really a crossover, more like a modernized station wagon but has 4WD and all the extras that I wanted.  Good luck on your search.  Let us know what you get.
