I am looking for dog friendly vacation places for this summer, mostly camping. I have been trying to find somewhere that has off leash trails and swimming, and things we can enjoy with Max. So far I've not really found a lot but I did find this place, and I wonder if anyone has ever been here?

I'm thinking about booking a vacation week here.

It looks lovely. I have seen the site before but I don't think border collies, which they rescue, are the easiest breed to be around.

Really? I've only been around a few border collies but they were all nice. They said they have no problems with dog to dog issues, and that their dogs are very well socialized with people and dogs, but of course they're going to say that.

It's pretty pricey too I noticed at 1300$ per person per week plus the fee for your accommodations so if you take a tent that's 35$ a night but it looks so amazing and all the different activities you can do and try with your dog.

We live in NC and visited a place called Barkwells in Asheville NC. We have not stayed there, but the accommodations were beautiful and we would definitely consider it for a vacation with dogs.

Thank you Pauline I'll have to check that out!

I only know that both Luca's trainer and her assistant had border collies, trained to a high level but not very dog friendly. The trainer's dog once thought Luca was rude by sniffing at him. I thought he's take Luca's head off. The trainer had him under control in an instant thankfully. But of course that may not be true of all of them. It should be lovely up there : )
