Dog hair....

I have the three most amazing Golden Doodles and I love them.  Stella is 4 years old and Stanely and Slyder are both about 18 months old.  Big dogs, at about 65, 80 and 100lbs.  Wonderful all, and I don't have a complaint about them except....  the hair (or fur, not sure what's the proper description).  Stella is a non shedder, Slyder sheds a bit and Stanley is a full blown fur ball!  Now, I vacumn at least once, usually twice per day and we're used to dog hair in our food, our bed, etc.... but is there any way to get it out of freshly washed clothing?  It's seems to imbed intself into the fabric or something.  We look like a family of... well, I'm not sure.  I can be embarrassing when at a business meeting and I look down at the globs of fluffy doodle hair.  Any advice out there for us?  Thanks!

I agree that the Furminator is not a good tool to prevent shedding. It simply cuts the hair.

 

I would recommend a shedding blade only if you're comfortable using it.

Camus has a short, fluffy, coat and sheds more than my Einstein did who was part Chow with a long coat!  I brush him daily, and am probably breaking every rule for water conservation because I wash everything far more often than I use to.  Bounce has a dryer sheet that is suppose to help, can't say that it does, because there is so much hair, but it makes me feel as though I am doing something.  And I got a Shark Navigator vacuum that I swear by -- and it is cheap!  In addition to phenomenal sucking power it is bagless, which saves a lot of money.  Also, I give him both EPO and fish oil.  I have joked about using hair spray - on him, not me. And I have the sticky rollers in every room, my car and office.  When Camus shakes it is exactly like Karen's description of Jackdoodle shaking himself and seeing the hair flying off.  Great fun when he does it in the car.  Also, I agree that the Furminator is not a good shedding tool.
