The girls got their shots updated and they have their new rabies tags, and have their name tags... it's a symphony of bells in my house!

Where do you get silencers for your tags?

Any home made ideas?  The rabies tags are tricky, since they are shaped like the state of Texas.  I thought about coating the back of the tag with something, like rubber cement, but I don't know if that would be safe for the dogs.

Ideas?  Suggestions?

If you do a search on the Forum for "tag silencers", you'll find a prior discussion that might help. I tried to pull in the link, but it just isn't working for me tonight.
Strange, I searched twice - first time my own post came up and your reply, second time a random post came up in a group discussions comment page... but I don't see a thread on it.

I wish the state rabies tag wasn't Texas shaped, it used to be a heart and I've seen protectors that go around "standard" shapes.
Get a rubber ring like device the sell at Petco or just about anywhere. Put it over the more regularly shaped tag, it fits like a rim. No more jingling.

you can try super gluing the tags back to back. Then they don't jangle.
we use the stainless steel name tags that clip right onto their collars, so if I need to put the rabies tags on, they don't have another tag to jingle against. boomerangtags.com
