Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This girl reminds me of some of our more wiry doods here on DK. They have her listed as a terrier mix, which I can see a little bit. In one of the pics, she reminds me of a wolfhound. So she really could be a lot of things, but her eyes remind me of Halas. And her story makes me sad. Our shelter is a no-kill shelter, so she's safe, and with that face, I'm sure she'll be adopted quickly. I just wanted to share, since she's so cute, doodle or not.

I think she got adopted already! TAPS doesn't list her on their website any more, and the Petfinder link above says "Adopted Dog," not "Adoptable Dog." Yay for Punky!
Yay for Punky! I hope she got a great home where she will be be safe and loved forever.
Yae - So happy for her. The one that really gets my heart is a dog in Florida that has a seizure disorder. He has been on the Doodle Rescue board for months now and just doesn't seem to be getting much attention. He is a really big boy - 100 pounds. If I had room for one more, I would surely try to give that poor baby a home.
He didn't have a foster home until recently, and once he came into foster care, the DRC was better able to assess him medically. He had been getting interest right along, but after people would meet him, they weren't interested, because he was so doped up all the time, he was lethargic. His foster mom has been working to get his seizures under control and regulate his medication, and she has done wonders with him. Now he has lost some weight, is much more energetic and has a much better chance at being adopted.
Karen, Thanks for that update. He just looks and sounds like such a sweet boy. I know that many people can be turned off by seizures, but one of my dachshunds had a seizure disorder. He died when he was 16 and had lived with the seizure disorder for many years. The medication can make them a bit doped, and it is typically a fine line between keeping the seizures under control and still giving him a good quality of life. Kudos to his foster family.
