Hi Everyone. Tomorrow I am bringing Lincoln in for his first full blown grooming as he has developed matts even though I've been brushing him. The groomers told me that they would have to get quite close to get these matts out. It's from the dampness from the snow. There was another Goldendoodle getting groomed while I was there getting a German cut so that's what I'm getting Lincoln. I'm so nervous, but his hair is way out of control. It doesn't stop growing and it's more like poodle hair. Very curly!!!!
Water will work. Spray and scrunch. I often use a very diluted finishing spray that I got from the groomer but Lincoln probably has so much product on him right now, more would just be gummy. I also spray Ned with Horse Mane and Tail Detangler before and sometimes after a home grooming session.
Thanks for the laugh Jane. I needed that!!! He was bathed twice in three days so he's as white as he'll ever be I think. LOL Sure beats the day he rolled in the mud in the backyard then tracked it through my kitchen!!! The ends of his ears were matted so they had to clip them right down unfortunately.
