The thing is, there's a question as to whether this dog was really trained for service. And the dog is simply taking the place of a cart (or a parent) to hold the tank. I still don't really understand why a portable oxygen tank holder on wheels wouldn't work. And when it comes to a playground, most parents are right there next to their three year old on swings, slides, etc. anyway, even children without health issues, so why couldn't a parent hold the tank during trips to the playground?
I felt sorry for the dog too because he was getting yanked around. I did not see the prong collar. I do think the woman who wrote the criticism was a bit harsh about the prong collar. The ones I have do not have sharp prongs that will cut into the dogs neck. None the less, the little girl pulled on it way too much and no one protected the dog in any way. Sad video all the way around.
