Our little Madiba seems to have picked up a cold at doggy daycare. She is sneezing and sniffly, otherwise she seems fine. She didn't want to get up this morning but now that she's up, she's gone out and had a nice breakfast, she seems ok but I'm wondering if there is any over the counter meds i can or should give her. Also we want to put her in daycare today, are these doggy sniffles highly contagious, is it better to keep her home? I love my little baby, i worry about anything not being 100% with her. Thanks.

I don't know what kind of medication you could give her. I don't think it's right to send a dog with something that is possible contagios to daycare.
Hope you feel better real soon Madiba...I would think it best to keep her home today and let her rest:)
I'd keep her home for her own sake, and I'd keep an eye on her.
Some info on respiratory viruses in dogs: http://www.petmd.com/dog/seasonal/evr_dg_cold_germs_and_your_dog?pa...
She would still spread her germs on the equipment, Rebecca, so I think it would be better to keep her home. At least you can prevent her from giving the virus to other dogs and wish someone else had been as thoughtful in the first place.
I hope she feels better.
Just like a toddler, you have to (IMO) keep them from over tiring themselves when they are under the weather! plus, as many stated, not fair to share germs to unsuspecting fellow students~
I hope she is much better very soon and back to her full activities!
