Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I just sent this email to everyone who is a member.  However, I know some of you don't get the emails.  Check your email's various folders (Social, Promotions, SPAM, etc).  If you still don't find anything from DK...respond and we'll troubleshoot.  In the meantime, here's everything I sent:

Do you have a blue doodle?  Or maybe a doodle wearing blue?

Sad doodle?  Doodle swimming in a blue pool?  Whatever blue translates to for you, get a photo of this and submit it for our bimonthly slide show.  More info here: http://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/blue16-slideshow

Want another chance to show off your doodle...for a whole MONTH at a time?

In about two weeks (Sept 1st) we will start accepting photo submissions for our 2017 Calendars.  Are you ready with your photos?  If not start snapping away.  BUT--first read our photo guidelines so you know the kinds of photos we accept and the kinds of photos we don't:  Photo Guidelines

You can't judge a book by its cover, you can't just a doodle breeder by a pretty website.  If you were going to go out looking for a doodle puppy tomorrow, do you know where to look?  Do you know how to tell a responsible breeder from someone who just "loves dogs" and wants to make a few bucks on a popular mixed breed?  Can you spot a puppymill online?  At DoodleKisses.com we take choosing a breeder very seriously.  It's not because our members are snobs, but because our members love dogs and believe responsible dog breeding is good for people and dogs.  It means healthier dogs as well as more dogs who stay in one home for their whole life.  Our article on What to Look For In a Breeder is probably the best guidance you can find online when it comes to choosing a doodle breeder.  We update it when we get reasonable suggestions from our members.  Check it out if you're in the market for a puppy.  Don't get duped by a pretty website.  Support only responsible breeding!

Boca Update

https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/93589473?profil..." width="497"/>

So far Boca's doing alright recovering from knee surgery.  She gets a little lonely and whiney at times, but otherwise taking it in stride.  Because of this, we put an expen in our bedroom last night so she would feel better (since that's where she normally sleeps) and yet not wander too much.  But she still was a bit agitated and whiney.  Pain?  Frustration with confinement?  Maybe both.

The cone came off yesterday. It is clearly too small and she could still reach her stitches if she tried. So that is where the pj pants came in. My son didn't want to part with them until we mentioned we'd buy him new ones in his new upcoming bigger boy size.  Clark cut out an opening large enough in the back for potty and we're good to go for another week or so until her incision is healed.  But we still have quite a few weeks of keeping her calm, on leash for quick pottying, and jumping-free.  That last part scares me.  Just seeing the leash often makes her jump in anticipation.  Wish us luck!

Got questions about any of this info?  Please comment below OR send me an email [here on DK or at Admin@DoodleKisses(dot)com]

P.S. NOT in the email is that we're going to try to schedule another Doggy Dan webinar for September.  If we are successful...I'll let you know details when they are available.  Doggy Dan is a dog trainer from New Zealand who has a very helpful website on dog training.  Many of our members have subscribed to his videos/lessons/forum and found his methods very helpful.  We've done a couple of live webinars with him in the past and would like to do it again as a Back-to-School Doggy Training event.

Thanks for the e-mail Adina...it really helps the slideshow!  Hope Boca 's recovery goes fast!

I did get the email but I just wanted to say how cute Boca looks. I'm glad she is coming along.

Thanks for the update. I don't envy you trying to keep Boca calm. I hope everything is better soon.

The email in my profile is not one I have ever had. I have tried to correct it many, many times and it won't change. I get the email with the link and follow that, but after that, it has never changed for me. I know you sent me an email once when I won an Amazon prize. I gave you my correct one at that time to receive it.

Boca looks pretty cute in her jammie bottoms.

Boca, You look very cute in your jammies but we want to see you painlessly back on all four paws soon.
