Does any one have a double doodle? We are getting a new pup which I believe is a f1b breed to a poodle. We wanted to see what these pups look like all grown up...

A "double doodle" is a goldendoodle bred to a labradoodle. They are also called "North American Retirevers", or NARs.

An F1B is a first generation goldendoodle or a labradoodle (50/50 mix) bred back to a poodle, so the genetic make-up is 3/4 purebred poodle. I have not heard of anyone breeding an F1B back to another purebred poodle, usually an F1B is bred to a doodle of some generation to get multi-gens. An F1B bred to a purebred poodle would result in a dog who is genetically 7/8 purebred poodle.

they may be a f1 bred to a poodle. Is there a difference in the look of double doodles compared to   f1 or a f1b?

There's a difference in the look of doodles, period, lol. In the same litter, you can get a big variety of coats, colors, and sizes. Seeing adult doodles of the same generation wouldn't necessarily tell you what your particular puppy will look like as an adult. F1s generally have the greatest variation in coats. F1Bs generally have the curliest, most "poodle-y" coats. Not always, though. And with double doodles, it entirely depends on the parents. I have seen double doodles bred from an F1 goldendoodle and an F1 labradoodle who look like retrievers, and I have seen them where they look like multigens.

I am a little confused, though. Most reputable breeders give you information about the parents of their litters. Do you not know what the parents are? If your breeder has bred this pair before, the offspring would be the best indication of what you can expect.

is the litter born yet? Do you have any photos?

Yeah, at that point you may as well just get a poodle ;)

I've never heard of an F1BB (I'm guessing that's how you'd classify it) either.

Just asking - Have you read the article about what a doodle is?  Tells the basics:

have you read our guidelines to finding a breeder and does the breeder you chose meet those standards?  http://www.doodlekisses.com/notes/What_To_Look_for_In_a_Breeder

I have 2 F1b's. one can easily pass for a standard poodle, while the other looks like fluffy golden - - they are littermate brothers. So, it is just a luck of the gene mix.
