Does anyone have this fan (bladeless fan)? I am tempted to get the 12-inch one, but it costs over USD300! My DH thinks it is ridiculous to pay so much for a fan. But he doesn't do the cleaning. I have to clean two fans (take them apart, use soapy water to rinse and wipe them dry) at least twice a week cos there's always a lot of dog hair stuck to it!
If you don't already have one, would you consider paying this much for a fan? It is said to be a little quieter than regular fans, and more energy efficient. Easy to clean (YAY!) and the other big draw is it's safety factor cos no blades!
if it was an awesome fan, I would pay $300 for it. I paid $500 for a floor-standing air conditioner for my bedroom (I like to sleep very cold).I've seen commercials for this Dyson fan and am fascinated by it. Curious to see if anyone here has used it!
Have you checked Amazon for their customer reviews? I always find really good reviews on stuff I am looking at on there. If it worked like they said it did I would be tempted to pay the $300 - I have a Dyson vacume and it is everything they say it is.......
We just got back from Best Buy and did the same thing---stuck our hand right through it! Loved the safety factor and you can't help but love the ease of cleaning. We have a Dyson vacuum cleaner and I suspect the fan would be made with the same level of efficiency and quality. We're not fan users but if I did need one I'd honestly be tempted :)
I read some reviews -- someone mentioned that it is really not as strong as regular fan, you have to be relatively near it to feel the breeze. And I think it has an internal fan at its base, to suck in the air. So does that mean I have to clean the internal fan at some point (imagine dog hair being caught in the tiny holes at the base of the fan)?!
I really hate the look of regular fans. I have two at home, they don't blend in to the decor, and their a pain to clean... maybe a ceiling fan would be a better option?
