Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I went a little overboard making dog treat recipes for the doodles and their friends. I made up little gift boxes for them and everything. Some of the recipes I used included cheddar bacon oat cookies, peanut butter and banana oatmeal with parsley, and peanut butter flax biscuits with blueberries and chicken flavour (broth). But the doodles favorite (aside from the bacon cheddar, which was a small batch that went fast) were the gluten-free pumpkin mint buscuits. I thought I'd share this with my DK friends. They were super easy to make. This is the recipe I used, except that I used chicken stock instead of water and I added fresh minced mint leaves for fresh breath :o)

The pumpkin ones are on top.

These look wonderful as do the boxed treats. Thanks for sharing.
I am totally impressed. Thanks for the recipe.
Thanks for the recipe Sherri, I will definitely make some Pumpkin treats for Libby! Your boxes look so nice and festive and what a nice gift for your Doggie friends:)
What a good doodle mom/friend you are, Sherri! These look fabulous, I'll bet the doodles went crazy for them!
I am loving this picture of "penguin" but he is looking pretty defenseless against your beautiful doodle : )
Sherri - You would be my doodles new BFF (and, mine too!) if they had received such a lovely, delicious treat box!
Thanks! I particularly like this treat recipe since both DJ and Chance eat gluten free!
Who wouldn't be thrilled to get a gift like this! I am off to check out the recipe. Thanks Sherri!
Sounds like something my guys would like and I think it would be fine with their "tummy problems". Where did you find flax meal....regular grocery store....I don't ever remember seeing it. Thanks for sharing, Sherri!
yep, wherever you find rice flour it should be there. If you have a good grinder you might be able to make it yourself. I made oat flour by grinding rolled oats for some of the treats. You might be able to do the same thing with flax seeds? not sure about that though...
The link said she ground her own flax seeds.
Thanks for sharing this Sherri, they look (almost) good enough to eat ; ) definitely more than good enough for Doodles though. I'm going to make these as soon as I can for my boys.
