Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Does anyone have an adult dog from an English Cream Golden mom x Red poodle dad. Right now puppy is dark, but i've heard that goldendoodles lighten. Just wondering with the combo of the red poodle dad what color your older dog turned out to be?

My Labradoodle Chloe is now 7 months old and her father is a red poodle and mother is a cream coloured labradoodle. If you look at my pictures you will see her and when I get home I'll ad a recent pic on this discussion.

ok thanks it looks like she didnt fade much

thanks!! do you know about any other pups colors from the same litter?

What have past puppies from this combo been?  Is he a dark deep red?  Do you know the colors in his ancestry?  It all depends on what color genes the dad has because a lot of reds fade...in fact reds usually fade.  But not always.

it's their first litter. no not deep dark red, I would say more like a dark apricot maybe. I dont mind a little fading but just hoping not so much to a cream. Not a big deal just a prefernce. Hoping that maybe if the dad is a red poodle that would help with the not fading as much. He's a pretty medium to dark red. Not sure about his ancestry.

send me a private msg with a link to the breeder's page. Has the dad fathered ANY pups ever?

when i said dark apricot i was talking about the new pups not the dad, sorry.  dad i would say dark red.

sooo cute!! Great color!!  I like her hair cut, how old is she? Do you groomer her yourself or the groomer?

She's 7 months old. And Ive taken her to 2 different groomers. Liked the first one better. I wish I could groom her myself hopefully one day!! Thanks:)

do you know what kind of cut its called? and how long does it last before she needs another?

i think its a puppy cut. But i just said no shorter then an inch, to leave the tail and not to cut the head short and thats what i came out with!  i would have given her a more detailed description but ive talked to her before and she mentioned she knew how to groom doods so i just put my faith in her. haha good thing it turned out!!

Last time i took her in i brought pictures that i can put on here for you if you'd like.

I waited 2 months before i took her in for this grooming, so i would say that i would be grooming her every 2 months because she really needed it.
