Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hi - We have a 4 year old F1B mini golden doodle, who has already had one cyst/tumor ("cutaneous extra medullary plasmacystoma") removed from the back of her neck 3 months ago.  It was supposedly benign but another has formed in roughly the same place, and she has enlarged prescapular lymph nodes (size of flattened golf ball) which we found out has unusual round cells though an aspirate sample.  We went in again yesterday for a second aspirate that will be evaluated again.  Anyone have any experience like this?

She is otherwise acting pretty normal, and her bloodwork came back without any red flags.

I have no experience with this but want to send hugs and pawsitive thoughts your way.

Your little Lucy is really a cutie! I have no experience with this either but can understand why you would be concerned. I just hate finding any lump or bump on my girl! I hope your vet is able to get to the bottom of things for you quickly and also hope this is a problem that can easily be resolved. Let us know what you find out!

Must be very frustrating. Sending good thoughts that you get this issue straightened out. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in.

I don't have experience either, but I just wanted to say: I hope its nothing serious and Bella hopes everything is ok too:)

Good luck with Bella.

No experience, but I think that is the role of lymph nodes - to clear up any infections.   If she is acting normal and bloodwork is normal, I would let it be.  Of course you can get a vet to do more on her.  Just accept that she has some bumps and try to get a haircut that covers it as much as possible.  That would be my recommendation.

Diagnosis late yesterday afternoon was histiocytic sarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer.  Already went to the oncologist for her first round of chemo treatment.  I am so sad.

I'm so sorry. I hope she does well with her treatment. Hugs to you both.

I'm so sorry. I hope she responds well to the treatment. Hugs to both of you.

I am so sorry to hear this. Best wishes to you both, and this has been a very supportive place for me when my pooch was going through some health stuff.

I am so very sorry for this serious diagnosis.  I hope she responds well to treatment.

I am so sorry to hear this diagnosis.  Praying your sweet girl responds well to the treatment.  Will be looking update.  Prayers for you, your family & sweet Lucy.
