F1B 75% English Retriever and 25% Poodle?

I am picking up my beautiful girl this weekend.  I was wondering if anyone has the same kind of back cross?  The picture of her is my profile picture.  Any others have doodles that looked like that as a puppy? (she is 5 weeks in the picture) Thanks!

Oh my gosh she is adorable! I felt bad seeing some of the backlash that you got regarding your post. That happens here a lot, but like it was already said, there is a lot of good stuff on this site as well! Someone might find me crazy for loving a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix, but I do. The great thing with genetics is we can't tell what will get passed to each pup. You are going love her no matter what and that is the best thing anyways! I will keep looking for new pics of her as she grows! They do grow fast!

congrats she is a beauty! She looks like she is going to be a big girl : ) They grow so fast. Ghira is 13 weeks already & we feel like she is gaining a pound a day! Good thing she recently started to go up & down stairs. I can't lift her anymore! Have fun!!!!

Your pup is beautiful! I also just got a puppy, Beau, a few weeks ago (9 weeks when we picked him up, 14 weeks now) who is the same ratio, with a larger retriever heritage. I had a golden retriever growing up and personally think nothing could be better than a dog that's almost a golden, but also offers the hybrid vigor, great genes from another intelligent breed, and the reduced shedding! One thing that differs is the way the hair grows (and grows and grows)- any idea of how you're going to groom? I'd like to keep the shaggy look and worry if he gets over-clipped his fur will begin to look different from that point on (I've read that happened to other doodle owners). Congratulations on your new addition!

Oh how exciting to find someone with the same type of doodle! Her hair is growing and growing. I love the waves! I haven't given much thought to grooming yet. I have to first see how her coat turns out. I'd love to exchange a few photos and compare our puppy coats!

Oh yes! I always thought I would want a dood with more retriever-like hair, but the waves are just so soft and adorable that I can't imagine him with anything else! I loaded some photos on my profile, can you send them in messages too? I'm new to the site so I'm still trying to figure it out ha ha. I'm also curious about your puppy's temperament? Beau acts so much like a Retriever it's uncanny- his instinctive nature with fetching has been there since day one and his friendliness is out of this world. He seems to be more cuddly like a smaller poodle would be (he's the product of an english creme golden and a mini doodle so I'm accepting of the fact that we can't really predict his full size until the time comes), but aside from that he seems much more retriever-like. Excited to hear about your girl!
