Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi Everyone,
These are a female and a male mini goldendoodle from the past litter with my chosen Mom/Dad. The female is the top picture. I'm curious if you think they may stay flat like a GR or "doodle" out and become wavy. The owners unfortunately haven't kept in touch with the breeder so I'm not sure what they look like now.
I'm looking for a more wavy F1B and if I knew that they doodled out and got wavy, I would look for one with that coat type in the upcoming litter.
Any guesses?

I'm not seeing a top and bottom picture, I'm seeing a left and right picture, lol.
There is not a doubt in my mind that these two puppies are going to "doodle out" big time. The puppy on the left, in fact, is about as far from a flat coat as it's possible to be. You can already see the waves in the coat, and that one is going to be very curly. The one on the right is distorted in my browser, but even so, I can still see furnishings on the face. Neither of these puppies is "flat like a GR."
I agree.
Fudge is an F1 B Labradoodle. Here she is as a little puppy.
Here is what her coat looks like now.
Those pups look very Doodley to me. I would be more inclined to pick my dog by personality, because in the long run you are going to fall so much in love with your puppy the coat will not matter. Also, Fudge mats A LOT!! Good luck!! If those pups are any indication, you are going to have a beautiful dog.
OMD! Look at baby Fudge! So cute!
Truly.
Baby Fudge you are too cute for words. Laurie, Fudge still mats? Daisy doesn't mat at all anymore and she doesn't shed.Once we started giving her the EPRO it took about 1 month and her coat is much softer. We brush her maybe once a week now. Her coat looks just like Fudges coat, maybe a little curlier.
It's a good thing I love my Daisy so much, these puppy pictures are making me want another really badly.
Karen- LOL, yeah it's right and left.
These pictures were from 6 weeks old and compared to the other puppies in the litter, they look flatter. Others were much more visibly curly in the 6 week pictures.
Fudge & Riley both have such striking coats! It's always interesting to see the chocolate doodles change!
I guess I'm just not as experienced as you all! Hopefully one day I will be though, either this Dec or next August! I may be tempted to take a Dec puppy and housebreak in the cold just because I can't stand this waiting!
August seems so far away to wait for a puppy :) LOL
Sounds like a great plan. You are right about August being a much better time to potty train!! Good luck!! A red male dog....Clifford :) LOL I love all the colors, but I have to stop at two!
My dream has ALWAYS been to have a big red dog named clifford.. but then again, I AM Emily Elizabeth :)
