Fergie woke up around 1 am and was shaking her head and walking around with it cocked to one side. I'm thinking it's her ear but it's not warm and it's not red or dirty or anything. I put some of Lucy's drops in it - but she continued to pull and scratch and walk funny. After about 1 hr she calmed down in our bed and fell back asleep. This morning she did eat but she's still shaking her head and walking with it cocked to one side. I'll call the vet when it opens but what does everybody think this could be?
How is Fergie doing??? I just read your post Wilson is sending some Doodle hugs her way Glad she will be okay, I guess I better clean Willy's more often what do you use???
Glad to hear Fergie is doing better. Ear infections are no fun for either of you.
Our Puppy Kindergarten trainer showed me how to pull the hair out of Samanth'as ears. A few weeks later she had an ear infection. After that I decided to snip the the hairs myself to keep them short and wash her ears out every week, after a bath or a run on the beach. No problems since I am happy to report.
YEP - things were much better last night and much to my surprise (unlike Lucy) she doesn't even mind the drops or the flush I'm doing. I think she's so happy to have this feel better. Thanks for all your hugs and concern. We're off to school today.

My poodle used to love to have her ears cleaned! She'd make these little grunting noises when I'd massage around her ear after putting the solution in! It must really feel good!
I'm glad Fergie is feeling better.
